Our Mission

Sussex Community Crisis Housing Services, Inc (SCCHS), has been providing shelter and supportive services to homeless individuals and families since 1981. The agency’s atmosphere creates an environment that nurtures personal and family dignity, enhances self-esteem and promotes independence, housing stability and financial security.

COVID-19 Policies

The agency is in compliance with all the requirements the CDC and the Governor’s office suggest in keeping staff and residents safe. All new residents are required to submit current results of a COVID test prior to admission to the shelter.

2023 Do More 24 Fundraising

Sussex Community Crisis Housing will once again be participating in the United Way’s DoMore24DE, a twenty-four hour fund raising drive taking place on March 2nd at 6pm through March 3rd. Please mark you calendar and help spread the word.

How You Can Help
